Here's yet another one of those
sporadic updates on the stuff I've been up to lately (for the past few months):
After
3 years of working with
EA in the
SF Bay Area my wife and I moved to
Austin Texas y'all. My last project at EA was
SimAnimals (check it out right
here). I felt really bad about leaving the team but this was a
great opportunity I couldn't miss. Austin is much closer to my hometown in
Mexico (we're getting visits almost every weekend now) and I get to work with one of my
favorite developers in the US:
Nintendo's Retro Studios.

Today is the ship date of
"The Sims 2: Castaway", the latest game I worked on. It is an interesting new take on this
well-established franchise. I specifically worked on the
Wii version which helped me focus on gaining a lot of experience developing for this new and interesting console (especially on the
graphics programming side).
Go
buy the game, my yearly bonus depends on it ;-)

Or if you want more information on the game go to

My wife and I were having fun the other day making
old games' pixel art out of
Legos. It's not difficult at all and it makes good
home decorations. ;)
These two pieces are from
Blaster Master, one of my favorite
NES games:

Finally after a lot of trouble the good old site URL
guerragames.com is working again. I'll still keep
guerragames.net working just in case, but hopefully all the people playing the online games can come back again to play.

As some of you may have noticed, the site was
down for a bit more than
2 weeks. The reason for this (and for the change from
.com to .net on the URL) is that I was a victim of the
registerfly.com fiasco. It is really sad and I'm not sure if I'll ever regain ownership of
guerragames.com but in the mean time
guerragames.net is not that bad (actually, I feel for the people that had
thousands of domains registered through registerfly.com). In any case, if you see anything not working as before please don't hesitate to drop me a note and I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.
